Electronic all-metal separators of the hamos LCS ("Last Chance Separator") series are used especially in plastics processing for slow-moving or "stationary" material columns. They offer the last chance to detect and remove harmful metal parts fully automatically before they disappear in the inlet of extruders or injection molding machines. Not only ferrous metals are detected, but also all non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, brass, stainless steels, etc. Damage to molds and extruder screws or blockages in the hot runner system are thus reliably prevented. The stable and heavy-duty housing of the hamos LCS metal separators can also be used for mounting mixers, dryers and small conveying devices.
hamos LCS electronic all-metal separators are suitable for metal separation from stationary or slowly moving columns of material.
The slowly moving column of material passes the sensor area of the hamos LCS. Ferrous or non-ferrous metal parts contained in the material are detected in the search coil.
The search coil/sensor unit, together with the metal parts, is pushed into the ejection position by a pneumatic cylinder. Metal contaminants are ejected laterally together with a small amount of good material. A sluice plate shuts off the material feed for this time. Because of the very fast material ejection, extruders can also be monitored without "running dry".
After the metal ejection, the emptied sensor unit returns to its initial position and releases the material flow again.
For example, if you
injection or extrusion, then the hamos LCS electronic metal separator is the ideal device for metal separation.
