With hamos EKS electrostatic separators you can separate plastic mixtures into their components by dry means. hamos EKS separators can also be used to separate unwanted plastic impurities.
By utilizing the tribo-electric behavior of the individual plastics, the hamos EKS separates your mixed materials into unmixed fractions with little effort. You can thus recover valuable raw materials for new, high-quality products from mixed plastic waste.
To achieve an optimum separation result, the plastic mixtures to be separated must be as follows:
Not sure if your material is suitable for electrostatic separation? Talk to our experts. After consultation, you are welcome to send us a material sample of approx. 20 kg, which we can use to test the separability of your material in our pilot plant.
We show you which purities and throughputs we achieve with your material. Based on these separation results, you will receive our test report. We will then be happy to offer you the optimum device or system for your application.
You will be amazed at the value you can add to your material once it has been separated into clean fractions!
hamos EKS electrostatic plastic separators utilize the differences in the tribo-electric behavior of the individual plastics for separation.
The plastic mixture is fed via a vibratory conveyor into a so-called tribo-electric charging unit. Different plastics are selectively charged in this unit in a material-specific manner and assume a positive or negative charge. This effect is caused by electron transfers from one particle to another.
After charging, the plastic mixture enters a high-voltage field, where the components are electrostatically separated into pure fractions on the basis of their different charges. Positive particles are attracted to a negative electrode, while negative particles are repelled, and vice versa.
With minor modifications to the charging unit and a readjustment of the separating plates, it is possible to separate different plastics one after the other without much effort. For example, one can separate PET-PVC and then PE-PP with the same machine.
For example, if you
the hamos EKS is the ideal device for separating plastics.
